Kendriya Vidyalaya, Karaikal Chennai Region is located in the holy town which is known as town of temples. It was established on 24.08.2010. The school was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister Shri V. Narayanasamy, Minister of State in the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s office. At present, the school is functioning in a temporary accommodation. It is fervently hoped that the school will move to a permanent building at the earliest. The present location has charming beauty with greenery around. It is a civil sector school. Presently the school is running at Kumaran Kovil Street, Neravy, Karaikal. The school has classes from I to XII. The strength of the school as on date is 494 comprising 258 boys and 236 girls.

This is the Central Government CBSE School under the aegis of Education Ministry, Govt. of India in the town of Karaikal. The class rooms are well ventilated and clean. There are twelve classrooms, four well equipped labs and a resource room. The computer lab has 50 computers. The school caters of need to the students.
